Burns cleared over alleged head butt during 'jihad' by Muslim students
The Independent reported that Mr Burn and Mr Hoeckner, one of the accused students, were arrested on charges of breaching the Equality Act 2010, as well as breaching police policies on 'hate speech'.
The Independent said: "The university has not said whether the allegations will lead to any disciplinary action."
A university spokesman told the Independent: "The University cannot comment on matters that are before courts and the University considers that it has no further comment at this time."
The case comes after a woman reported that she was subjected to racial and religious insults on a bus when she was attending a "jihad week" at her university in March.
She was said to have been heckled by another student who was wearing a Islamic headscarf on the bus, and an incident has been reported in which the headscarf was thrown on a bench.
Another Muslim student, who has been criticised for his support of the terrorist organisation Islamic State group, says he is'stunned' that the alleged attacks were covered up
The alleged student, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said he was "stunned and disheartened" by the allegations and that there had been "no attempt to prevent it at all."

Donations to local council candidates should be capped review committee for the last two elections only. The new government should also allow councillors to nominate candidates for the next election to decide what they will do.
"I don't support any kind of limits for the people in terms of the people who are sitting in that seat but I do oppose a cap on what candidates can and should do," Sussman said.
Sussman said he supports the idea that local council candidates should not be allowed to have any kind of political endorsements.
"It's not what I support in terms of independence or a free hand from any kind of political influence to do as you see fit," he said. "I am an independent voter and I believe the people who have their elected by the people are more important than the politicians."
